The staff were friendly,approachable and professional service. The hotel is a well maintained old fashioned hotel like a step back in time and the location spot on

I wasn't expecting it to be like a convalescent home when the singer was on i danced and felt very uncomfortable. The hotel had an underlying smell of a nursing home

We booked a twin room. (Room 35) Theres a small car park at front. Maybe 8 cars? First come, first served. We were lucky enough to get a room with a Seaview. The room was clean and welcoming. With a kettle and complimentary tea & coffee. (Wouldve been even nicer to have a biscuit! Take your own!) And a hair dryer. Soap in the bathroom and shower. Standard large bath towel and hand towel each. Windows were sash windows which some may not enjoy but it is a very old building. 2 chairs in front of window to enjoy the beautiful view. There is a small 4 person lift to all floors but use the grand stair case if you're able. The building was warm and very interesting. Stain glass windows in the hallways and dining room. Each window seemed to depict a local historic building. Breakfast was busy but staff remained attentive and calm. Your waiter/waitress took your order for hot food and you were able to help yourself to Cereals, fruit, yoghurt, porridge etc We each had the large vegetarian breakfast: 2 sausages (bubble and squeak style) egg, beans, tomato, mushroom AND fried bread! Ask for toast, as it didn't come with it, despite listing it on the menu. The restaurant windows look out over the north Sea and Cromer Pier but very few window seats. Entertainment every evening of bingo then a musician in the bar area. Bar closes at 11pm. Amazing value for money. Staff were welcoming, friendly and polite.

The heating made a loud ticking noise when activated so it did wake us in the morning not knowing what the noise was but if we'd stayed another night it would've been familiar. Breakfast was VERY busy. Served between 8-9. I recommend arriving early.

Fabulous old property, could probably do with a lick of paint but it was spotlessly clean, the staff were great (especially the really helpful woman on the desk), the bed was comfortable, shower was good

Sorting takeaway breakfast was a palaver but excellent staff sorted it Staff smoking out the front of the doorway didn’t give a great impression

The car park needs serious attention. A hotel of this standing should have a decent car park.
