Alley Garden Homestay Hoi An

Great home stay with fantastic host. They really want to get to know you and you feel very welcomed. We went for private room, it was very big and bed very comfortable. Good selection of breakfast and it gets freshly cooked for you every morning. WiFi connection is one of the best we had in entire South East Asia

Toilet facility is very dirty and badly kept. it’s a shame, because it would take so little to make it a 5 stars stay.

This homestay was incredible. Beautiful facilities. The pool was so clean, breakfast was so nice. We extended our stay twice! The family are so lovely and you feel so taken care of and safe. Its also really near some delicious street food so that will save the pockets instead of eating in the old town centre!

On reading past reviews it is pertinent to point out that this is a home stay and not a hotel - it is family run who live on site and they cook for you, tend to laundry and are always around and trying to engage with you. This is their home, so expect to be involved and afforded a lot of care but they’re not butlers/there for your every whim!! That said, they take very good care of you and are extremely helpful and friendly, even with a language barrier. The rooms are large and well supplied with a fridge, hair dryer and TV. They can do your laundry and help with booking local tours. Free bicycles and free breakfast, and the pool is amazing! Again not a hotel but can’t fault it for the price and location, just a short walk to old town and easy cycle to the beach.

This was one of the greatest accommodations I have ever stayed in! The dorms were incredibly spacious, quiet, and comfortable. The hostel staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. I had a night bus from Da Lat when I arrived and they were kind enough to let me choose my bed, give me a light breakfast and water, and take me to my room and let me rest for the morning! The pool was lovely, the price was great, and the breakfast was just fantastic. I recommend everyone to go stay here because it is just incredible.

The free breakfast although I only got to have it once in my two days here. The young woman who speaks English is very nice and prompt on WhatsApp, she helped me settle in too. I loved the free bicycles and cycled a lot just exploring the city solo. The beds in the dorm were super comfy and big and had the best sleep here.

She tried to sell me a bunch of touristy things which I didn't want to do, especially her sister working at a tailor shop which she mentioned a few times. But I guess that's very minor compared to the rest.

Really clean room with plenty of space and the homestay is only a 10 minute walk from the old town. The staff were so friendly with recommendations which was very helpful. We arrived on our first day at 7am after an overnight sleeper bus and a we were allowed to check in at that time too which was amazing as we were so tired!

This homestay is absolutely amazing! I felt like home during my stay, I ended up extending for a full week there. The ladies there are so friendly, welcoming and helpful with all you can ask for. The “dorm” is comfy and clean, you have a personal locker; there is also a pool which can be nice if you want to chill. The location is perfect, either by foot or by bike you can easily get to the old town and have a nice bike tour to the beach (30mn from the hostel). They even lend the bike for free. Everyday they give you a bottle of water. So everything is made for you to have the best stay possible. I recommend 100%!
