The Lion Hotel

Good location and nice bar

The floor was really skew resulting in the bed being much higher at the bottom, naturally I woke up with a massive headache after an uncomfortable sleep

Lovely food and excellent staff

A bit dated and shabby.

Good pub clean.

Got woken up by a noisy car then fell asleep again.

No Heating through the night in 3 Degrees temperatures, no hot water for shower in the morning. Corridors were smelly and the carpets need replacing No response from Hotel regarding the issues

The staff were fantastic, of particular note were Jack and Gracie in the pub. Exceptionally friendly and helpful. The food was great with a superb English breakfast. We had a long chat with the chef after breakfast which was wonderful, but I forget his name!

Not much, we were their for a Saturday night, so the pub was vibrant with locals which meant a bit of noise in the room, but that's to be expected above a busy pub in a 500 year old building!

A lovely ancient hotel built first in 1492, full of character, fires, great food , a welcoming bar. Lots of Locals and real character. Even the resident Ghost is a friendly, happy soul.

Having to leave after two nights. The family who run the business are so welcoming and kind.
