modern tasteful decor, clean, good shower

We loved the property😍 It was great location for the wedding we attended at Combe Lodge literally 5 mins walk away! it was clean wirh a massive extremely comfy king size bed! Lots of space and a nice touch of a table and 2 chairs outside 👌

The Shower’s heat monitor was broken and took ages to get the temperature right! The shower plug needed a good clean and therefore we had a bit of a flood when we took a shower for the first time! but a minor thing that I have let the hosts know about but waiting for feedback.. had to use extra/spare towels to mop up the water.

we had an issue with hot water and we’re told my the property management company that nothing could be done/no maintenance could be called out because it was past 6pm. it was my wedding the next day and I needed the shower etc so this was simply not acceptable. we’re told that hot water may have run out from previous day, although they would have checked out at 11am that morning and this was 7pm at night. my concerns were dismissed. luckily some hot water came back after waiting 1.5 hours, but had to turn shower on and off between washing to ensure hot water supply didn’t run out. not ideal. the handling of this issue was poor. also, the outdoor space is appalling. lots of overgrown plants/weeds making the place look abandoned from the outside. the windows are dirty and covered in cobwebs and leaves. I was a bit embarrassed by the exterior as I stayed there with a friend the night before my wedding. luckily the inside looked better than the outside.

Excellent location. Privacy.

Bordered by woodland, the immediate area around the lodge has a lot of weed growth. There are ticks in the locality so guests need to take extra care when in the garden and surroundings.
