The Lodge Gatehouse at Coombe Lodge

The property does not have adequate ventilation, there is a strong musty mould smell. The door handle was broken on entry. There were so many bugs crawling on the floor and a huge beetle on the bed. No conditioner provided. Close to a noisy main road. Stains on the throw pillows and throw.

Bed was good.

A strong smell of cigarette smoke throughout the accommodation. Property felt quite damp. Came across spiders webs and woodlice. Difficult to get a taxi or Uber to and from the accommodation.

Beautiful, comfortable house. A perfect refuge.

It was hard to get to without a car.

Gorgeous furnishings and outdoor area!

There was no hot water in the morning!! the hot water ran out after only a couple of minutes in the shower! we both had to shower in stone cold water which was awful….especially when getting ready for a wedding! it really ruined the experience, that’s the only reason why we were there was for somewhere to get ready before the wedding so it was just a nightmare! we don’t know the reason why the hot water ran out! very frustrating! There was also a lot of cobwebs everywhere! Even in the shower which concerned me it’s not cleaned very thoroughly!
