We obtained a shoreline certification less than one year ago and for jurisdictional purposes (i.e., permitting) could potential be used. "Very good timeshare trade."

10.0

We were very pleased. We did a timeshare exchange. The hotel is well capped. The gardens are very pretty. The pool was very good. There is beach access. The food at the restaurant was decent but not overpriced. It would’ve been nice to have some more Hawaiian flavors. I really like the reception and the overall customer service.

"Exceptional"

10.0

Good location, and the rooms are large. Big bathroom with 2 sinks.

You had to wait for 5-10 minutes to get hot water early in the morning. It seems like such a waste of water having it run that long. Spectrum TV guide system is really lame the way it works. It also would have been helpful if there was a channel list in the room.

"Hilton timeshare nightmare"

2.0

Took a timeshare tour. There was just high pressure from three different sales persons. The supposed gift was never received. I strongly recommend never never do a Hilton timeshare it was brutal!!!

"Needs update badly! Not Hilton standard. They still have popcorn ceilings from the 80’s. Exterior an ugly pink."

6.0

This place is really a dump! Marketplace had special dinner of prime rib dinner for $30. Big peace of meat, 60% fat. Lots of dust in rooms, even on the plastic flowers on kitchen table. Ugh!

"If we come back to Maui, I would stay here again."

5.0

The rooms were nice and well kept. Pool was beautiful. Convenient to a grocery store, walking distance and the food trucks. Love that we were able to BBQ.

The rooms were nice, but the actual hotel seems a little outdated. We paid for a premium room and it was exactly the same as my sisters, who didn't have a premium room (hers came with a view to the ocean) Ours came with a partial view to the ocean but overlooked the pool and was lower level. Dont pay the extra price unless it specifically says facing Ocean with balcony.

"Please avoid - Charged owners for “deluxe” room then downgraded us"

2.0

This hotel screwed over its owners - imagine what they can do to regular guests - please avoid. We paid extra points to reserve the “deluxe” room. HGV’s website boasts oceanfront room pictures - this is the second time we’ve booked this category and it was granted last time. This time we got a swimming pool view with an apology that oceanfront rooms are sold out. No refund on the extra points we paid for deluxe - just a comment that next time we should book by calling them - not using the HgVMax portal. Is this the new official policy?? Pathetic treatment - I was considering upgrading my ownership during this trip - no way I’m ever doing that now.

"Our view was excellent. We saw so many whales from our balcony."

9.0

Hilton has upgraded the rooms except the bathroom. Bathrooms are still outdated. Our view was beyond amazing. Resort was very clean and close to everything. There is a grocery store across the street along with many places to eat. The pool was nice and easy to find a lounge chair.

The resort tried to give us a down grade on the room we had paid for. We were told rooms were not guaranteed. But within 20 minutes the front desk had found us an appropriate room. Parking is a nightmare. There is not enough parking. Staff also park onsite. There is only 1 plugin for electric cars. There is no restaurant onsite but there is a place to order some food. It's not great.

"Very underwhelming, was probably nice 35 years ago."

3.0

Location. It was fine for a night and close to the West Maui Mountains so we were able to get an early start for sightseeing.

Property was extremely dated and didn't have a restaurant onsite (besides a snack shack). No poolside service. Location is obviously great but was not at all a true 'resort' experience we anticipated. It was doable for one night before we checked into our condo for rest of the trip.

"Horrible rooms if not remodeled"

2.0

This property has no business being marketed as a Hilton Grand Vacations until it has been completely renovated! I sat on the bed and my butt sunk down 8 inches! Housekeeping sent up a mattress topper that did little. Woke up with a sore back, complained and they replaced the mattress. Not with a mattress of Hilton quality but better than what was there originally. It’s located in a decent location, the room was large and parking was free. The staff was good and the grounds were clean. I cannot believe that my cost in HGV points was about the same as I’m using at Ocean Tower on the big island. That’s like paying the same for a room at the Days Inn on Maui and the Hilton on the Big Island. Very disappointed in HGV. And when I complained their comeback was that they just bought the property two years ago and are pumping $140 million into upgrades. Well, HGV that doesn’t excuse what you charged and doesn’t help me on this visit!!!
