GBMattress was fairly comfortable
Broken doors (un lockable) on main building and apartment. Reported but the guy on phone just insisted on telling me how to use a door and no one else had reported it. Ended up cancelling plans due to not being able to lock the apartment! FILTHY- takeaway food left rotting in foyer for 3 days. Dirty linen left in hall way Stench of weed made worse when sitting on tiny broken sofa. Booked for balcony and no key provided even after 2 phone calls and multiple messages so couldn’t use . No glasses, saucepans or toiletries provided. Floors filthy to the stage I cleaned them myself but still didn’t want to walk bare foot. I travel 20 days a month with work and often stay in apartments and I’ve never stayed anywhere so BAD that there customer service is basically, we have your money, we don’t care

GBIf only I’d read the reviews! It was dreadful. I suffered the same fate as the reviewer of the 28th of September ie external door fob did not work so I could not get access and when I eventually made contact with the owner, he couldn’t care less. Managed with kindness of strangers ( who carried my case back-and-forth and took me into their flat as I was stranded, I was so grateful that I sent them flowers which cost me £31 to thank them )to get into the block and my stranger’s Mum managed to get the bent key to work to get me into the apartment. However, it meant I could not go out as I had no idea if I would be able to get back in again and the owner said he would send somebody in the morning to sort the keys. I am an elderly Lady and I did not have anything to eat from 12 noon on the Sunday till 12 on the Monday as I could not leave the building for fear of being trapped outside in a not very desirable area. After repeated phone calls the lovely James came at 11:30 the next day & changed the lock barrel gave me a new key and a fob to get into the building but it was not for 262 Bradford Street, it was the Birchall Street entrance. Incidentally, there is no number on the outside of the building as the building has been renamed The Forge but no one told me. James also fixed the Wifi, got rid of a dirty rug, tidied up generally for me fixed the blinds et cetera. I told him there was no spoon, no toiletries , no bath mat, no tea towels, et cetera. These arrived on Tuesday evening minus the toiletries. Was woken at 4 am in on Wednesday by a large dog running around barking in the inner court yard parking area. This went on for 1/2 an hour. In the morning I discovered it was a security dog that had escaped from the site next door! Missed a whole Sunday evening of events and Monday am and I would like compensation but how does one go about it?I think that Booking.
GBVery poor
External Door Fob did not work so I could not get access. Owner when I rang told me the office opens in the morning and advised I follow someone into the building to get access. The stairwell and hallways were dirty, The oven did not work, the apartment was 2/5 in cleanliness and there was food left in the microwave. I was meant to stay for 4 weeks but left the next morning. It is nearly 2 months and I still have not received my refund of over £2,000 from the owner nor Booking .com I am very unhappy and will seek legal action for a refund
GBNothing other than the location being convenient to where we were spending the weekend
It was absolutely filthy on arrival, the front door handle was loose, the flooring was all ripped by the door, the walls were absolutely filthy. The bathroom floor was covered in hair, and there was dirt marks around the bath. The living room/ kitchen the floor was absolutely filthy there was food marks, dried milk on the floor, the legs to the table were not attached, there were no cutelry, one glass to drink from. The plates were all old and very used. The coffee machine had mould all in the bottom. The bin was absolutely disgusting and had all mould and a smelling liquid at the bottom with food. The balcony had hundreds of of cigerette butts, empty cans of beer, and rubbish all over the decking. The windows were absolutely filthy and had all white smear marks down them. The bedroom was the most “clean”. But the bed was broken, when we lifted the mattress to put the slats in that were already out, there was rubbish all under the mattress and the slits were broken and split. The bedroom windows were filthy. The but to open and close the blinds was broken. There were no spare pillows or sheets. The apartment block itself isn’t secure as anyone could walk in and out, there was a strong unpleasant smell through out the building. The carpets were all stained and filthy. The security guards on at night were very rude and didn’t check what room we were in or who we were. When we rang the host it took over 24 hours to get through to someone, she then said she would send a cleaner. We had already been out and brought cleaning products ourselves to try and make the stay a little more bareable. The 2 cleaners came in and we told them to clean the balcony and the floors they said they had no sweeping brush so weren’t able to do this. They offered us fresh bedding and went round with a Hoover that was it. I have pictures and videos as proof that this apartment is nothing like it’s advertised.
