Wild Amboseli Ndovu Cottage.

If you want quiet place, far from the noise of other posh (expensive) places this is your location. We (family of 5) had great time in the place with beautiful view on Mt Kilimanjaro. We could disconnect there and connect to surrounding nature. The place was clean and we found everything to prepare your meals (don’t forget to bring your own food). I read that some people had issues to find it but I downloaded Google Maps offline map of the area and we didn’t experience any issues. We drove in the morning from Nairobi, came there in the afternoon, checked in and there was still enough time to go for an afternoon game ride. Next morning we went for the morning ride and created beautiful experiences for our family. Jane was very quick to respond on my questions prior to visit and Susan did great job of hosting us on site.

Gravel r oad to get there from the main road

The remote location is an experience by itself, it is Out of Africa and you can access the park in a 20’ drive. You might encounter wild animals right outside the lodge and it is safe to walk. Bonfire and barbecue makes each evening unforgettable moments. The view of Kilimandjaro is exceptional every morning and a place to relax after a day in Amboseli

All has been as expected, even a nice surprise

设施齐全的草原民宿。总共3套房，两套两室一厅，一套一室一厅。每套都有极其齐全的厨房设施，自己做饭非常方便。还有舒适阳台正对乞力马扎罗山。工作人员都很客气，预订的safari价格合理，体验很好。非常舒适的一次住宿体验。

位置离镇上和安博塞利国家公园稍微有点距离，做饭材料需要提前备好。

The tall lights in direct view of the mountain. The fact that the place was too well lit to really appreciate the stars!

Thanks a lot to Jane and to the staff. located not far away from the park (airstrip check in point), please don’t forget to check out from the park. The lake on the road to the cottage was overflowing that’s confused us a little bit, but the accommodation was amazing. well furnished, bed with canopy.

L’un des plus bel endroit que j’ai eu à visiter

From the view across the patio (Kilimanjaro on a clear day) to the nice mattress pillows and the throw on the bed; everything was perfect. So is the owner Jane who is awesome. From the moment I booked she helped me locate a guide/driver to facilitate my tour from Nairobi to the property for 2 nights. The park gate is close by and I spotted giraffes and gazelles even before entering the park. Jane was extremely kind to arrange a hot air balloon ride at my request at a discount which now seems to be the best adventure thing I’ve ever done in my life! The housekeeper Julius was a star. He enthusiastically cooked cleaned washed and even packed my meals with so much love and care always with a grand smile on his face. So was the security guy Samuel; a soft spoken Masai boy. Forgot to click his photo. I wish I stayed here for a week. It was heart wrenching to leave the place.

There was nothing not to like. Being off grid the property cannot install aircons but the stand fan was sufficient for me. Also they cannot have hair dryers and washing machines for the same reason. The entire amboseli part is extremely dusty and I needed hair wash twice a day but luckily was carrying my comb-iron. Google maps are misleading and doesn’t work here. Better to come here with someone who knows or is aware of how to manoeuvre these roads.
