The Butcher's Flat Seahouses

Great location with lots of different things to do in the local area - lindesfarne, farne islands visit, Bamburgh, Alnwick, Dunstaburgh and Warkworth. Good sized flat, nicely decorated and furnished, contained everything that we needed to self cater although there were a good range of places to eat if we had wanted to dine out. Lovely touches made it feel very homely. Two good sized double bedrooms. Dedicated car parking space was perfect and walking distance from the harbour, restaurants and shops. Would definitely stay here again.

Everything except the steepness of the stairs. The local people were exceptionally friendly and the facilities were very good.

Its only a minor complaint, but the stairs were quite steep for the dogs and it was some distance to the nearest green area.

Nothing, everything was just perfect

Amazing location and a nice and tidy property. We contacted the owners as the flat was too warm to turn off/lower the radiators and they got back to us very quickly

The noise from the shop below was very bad. We expected from noise as you're above a butchers shop, however, it was being renovated and the noise started from 6am to late evening. You could hear them talking and their radio and it woke both of us up. The phone number in the pack for a contact was incorrect so had to e mail the owners instead.

This was a good flat and on the whole we enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean and the flat was well equipped with everything we needed and more. The flat was in the centre of Seahouses so a great location at a really reasonable price. It also had its own parking space which is rare.

The only downside to the flat was the noise. The flat is above a butchers shop. The butchers start work at 6am and you can hear them once they are in the shop. In addition, the floorboards in the back bedroom were really creaky as were the floorboards in the adjacent bedroom in the flat next door. This meant that when someone was walking in the bedroom next door it was quite noisy particularly in the middle of the night. Although neither of these things can be changed by the owners it did impact on the stay despite them providing complimentary ear buds. If you are a light sleeper then this probably isn't the flat for you.
