Excellent staff, friendly locals, food was excellent, breakfast kept us going all day. We will definitely be back. Thank you all we had an amazing stay.

Smashing friendly country pub. Great location just off a1 with basic self contained room above the pub with en-suite. Pub has darts, pool, etc which were fun to use.

Not suitable for less able or less mobile as access is by metal outside staircase and the en suite is down 3 steps internally. Mattress is very soft and doesn’t suit a bad back.

The bed was very uncomfortable, and the mattress needed replacing. There bathroom wasn't clean,the toilet was dirty and the sink and window sill hadn't been cleaned since the previous guest. The bathroom windows were open when I arrived, after I closed them you could smell damp.
