Zen hideaway in Aotea

Super comfortable soft beds after a 7hr trip from Auckland. Definitely what we enjoyed the most, was a good night's rest. The owners were so lovely, prompt to meet our needs if we had any. Kind & caring. We would definately return in the future if needed. I would recommend their property. There was a book with tours and restaurants etc to visit and was not far from their home as well. Really enjoyed it. THANKYOU ZEN WE APPRECIATE YOUR HOSPITALITY.

I like cooking and sitting at the table together with my family enjoying a meal, sharing conversations laughing but there was just a small kitchenette, pretty tight space, and a 2 seater table outside but the weather wasnt the best so we ate separately in different rooms on the beds. I would still come back but eat away with my family if I want to eat together.

The unit is very clean, and visually appealing. Nice and new.

The linen was substandard. The towels were small and threadbare. The duvet was summerweight (with no spares that I could find anywhere), and the room was cold. There was a noisy heater that I could use to warm the room, but it didn't make for a peaceful sleep. This is something that would be very easily and inexpensively fixed, but it really let the place down.

Great location, quiet neighbourhood, close to what was needed.

The host gave us clear instructions as to how to get to the unit, where to park our car and where to find the key. The unit is very comfortable and very well-presented. We arrived late and left early in the morning. We had no issues at all and I would happily stay here again. :)

Location was good, Nice room layout, warm and comfortable. Netflix was a nice surprise. Having a few toiletries (shaving foam, toothpaste etc.) was a nice touch in case you had forgotten to pack your own.

Fridge was a bit noisy. Closed the cupboard door to relax.
