Town centre, very convenient

Convenient location, safe free parking, hands on host, approachable and welcoming. Basic facilities for the discerning traveller but it fulfills its function. I highly recommend it for the savvy traveller and would definitely use it again. Nice break from the regular mundane hotel service. Booking.com should seriously look into these as an alternative to hotels - small, safe units which feel like home from home. It was great not to have a TV in the bedroom!

The car park though secluded and safe could do with basic clearing up of loose bricks and stones - it didn't create a great first impression. The property was billed as en-suite but due to "double-booking" and an infirm customer who couldn't manage the stairs I ended up sharing facilities. I only got to find out when it was too late to look for alternatives but I was not informed even though Booking.com has my contact details. The cost surprisingly didn't change to reflect the change of facilities.

Just a good all-rounder

The property was easy to find and there was good, safe, easily accessible private parking. The room was compact but had everything we needed for our two night stay. There was a fully fitted communal kitchen and sitting/eating area, and we found the other guests there were friendly and sharing.It was clean and tidy throughout. Rich, our host was very friendly and helpful and easy to get on with. There was a selection of excellent, reasonably priced restaurants and some good friendly local pubs within 5 mins walk. For what we wanted and needed, this accommodation was the ideal combination. We will certainly return.

The shower was powerful, but a little compact.(But I am a big chap!)

Good value and a convenient location as it was close to the town centre, the host is a nice person who was there for check-in.

Exceptionally friendly and personable landlord, who made me feel very welcome. Extremely comfortable bed, had a great night's sleep. Ensuite bedroom with good shower. Very close to all amenities. Amazing value for money. Would definitely recommend!

Nothing, it was a flawless stay.

Location really good, short walk into the centre of town. I liked the host; very enthusiastic, sociable, pleasant, welcoming. I liked the communal kitchen and the other guests who were really nice and very interesting. The bed was super comfortable as were the pillows. Very clean. At night lovely and quiet.

Every time the door to the kitchen closed, I could hear it. Needs a quieter door stop.
