"Sehr schönes traditionelles Hotel mit allem Komfort"

9.0

"Never again"

3.0

It’s just close to Toya lake and convenient for tourists.

Dirty and old. Outdated facilities , but it was not cleaned when we entered the room and no one wants to solve the issue. I’ll google review it too.

"Superb buffet, average dated rooms."

7.0

We love their buffet dinner and buffet breakfast that was provided with the stay. Love the big selection given and was also surprised to find self cook genghis khan and Kamameshi as part of the dinner buffet. Though limited selection for vegetarians. The lake view from the restaurant was beautiful as well. The outdoor onsen is quite nice, with the Lake as the view.

The hotel overall is quite dated, but that is expected from the photos. However, our tatami rooms and even the whole floor smelled a little weird. Almost like dried seaweed? We didn't really like the smell. You might call this nitpicking, but I didn't like the white lighting in the room as I prefer softer yellow lighting to feel more comfortable and cosy.

"For paying nearly $300 a night, I have rather top up another $100 to stay other hotels"

3.0

Hotel Facade and Lobby look new or well maintenance.

We were very disappointed when we check-in the room. When the lift door open, there is a strong smell along the corridor (I think is tatami smell). When we enter the room, we were shocked as the furniture all look very old. The wardrobe, cabinet, bed and including the TV all like 20's ago design. The only new I item I can find is the Boiler. Bedsheet, Pillowcases, Quilt cover and carpet, all with stain marks. What make us feel bad is all of us feel itch when we sit on the bed. In the end we cover the bath towel on top of the bedsheet in order to sleep with peace.
