La Vida Hostel

Never did I suspect a hostel I booked solely to sleep a few hours before a flight to so greatly exceed my expectations! Even with my close to midnight arrival in Puerto Princesa, Reid the owner was so warm and welcoming to me, inviting me into the hostel and taking me into the room before bringing me up to chill with some of the travellers on the rooftop. It feels like a big house, the rooftop is wonderful with a bar and hammocks everywhere, loads of space to sit and chill. Wifi was super fast, whole place was clean, bathroom nice enough, comfy pillows, air conditioning in the rooms and privacy screens on the beds were greatly appreciated. It's a new hostel hence the lack or reviews, but I'm so happy I took a chance on this place because it was a delight. Best hostel I've stayed in the Philippines so far! The power outlets near my bed weren't functioning, though that seems like an easy enough thing to fix.

A very nice hostel that is brand new. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed it very much. Super cool and chill rooftop hangout area, complete with hammocks and a bar. Reed (the owner) is very friendly and will do whatever he can to make your stay pleasant. Would highly recommend to anyone in puerto princessa for a few days!

Only complaint we had was on the location, as it is a bit further away from the main part of town, so dinner usually required a walk or a trike. However, he is about to start serving food soon, so that should help at least with meals.

Reese is a lovely person. I strongly recommend this accommodation. the accommodation is new and clean. We were well received by Reese, he is a kind and generous person. He even dropped us off at the airport for free very early in the morning. Thanks a lot.
