Klein Doorn Farm Stay

Beautiful area and very relaxing

The cottage is very cold during the winter time. There is only 1 power outlet in the entire cottage. The ventilation on the fire place is extremely bad so when you make a fire, the entire cottage is engulfed is smoke. No tongs available for the braai.

We loved the wide porch with beautiful vistas of the Klein Karoo landscape and mountain peaks.

Perfect off-grid stay away from everything! Gorgeous scenery, such a cute cottage, very cozy and homely. Had a perfect evening here, friendly staff, and provided everything we could have needed.

Maybe consider inside braai facilities at the awesome inside fire place. A corkscrew would have been nice too to have, unless I've missed it.

No hot water

Did you hear that - no? That's the point. We wanted a place in nature that was away from everything and we got it. The farm is very remote with very little around is the perfect place to switch off and relax. You are surrounded by mountains and amazing views The night sky is amazing when clear, and even some of the wildlife comes out to make things even better. Everything is off the grid and very eco-friendly. Vast open land with only the sound of nature Lots of nature, including farm animals, birds, rabbits, zebras, and rodents. Long hiking trails and walks with no one around. Great for pets too The perfect place to relax and unwind Farm staff were friendly and very helpful Take a 4x4 and explore the surrounding areas even more The bathroom was large with a bath offering a perfect view

The room had a slight damp smell upon arrival, but it went away quickly Facilities are basic, but still perfect for a relaxing stay Cold water was a little brackish, and the capacity of the gas geyser for bath and shower was limited and could go cold quickly. No signal and very limited electricity output. It's what we wanted, but might not appeal to everyone. The 4x4 track is basic, but it is still fun.
