The views were stunning

Ridiculously overpriced restaurant ... Reception wasn't helpful at all ,hadta keep begging for wifi n a cot There wasn't a coffee maker as advertised Electricity kept tripping

The breakfast was really good, the pool was chilled and a great view of the sea when the tide is high. The rooms are very comfortable, highly recommended

The staff was nice and the room was clean and nice

I was a bit disappointed by the fact that my room was in another building (next to hotel building) and as such not with a view on the beach. Next, I was there during NYE and staff just walked into my room in the evening to spray against mosquitos without knocking. And on the morning of the 1st, started knocking on my door at 9am... Also, although the breakfast and dinner were good, the options were very limited. Moreover, on Booking.com it says the room has airconditioning which it hasn't. Also, I know there might be cultural differences (I live in Tanzania), but staff joined my table and started talking in very broken Engish to me during breakfast. Do they not understand I'm very hungover? I stayed with a huge discount, which made it an acceptable stay. But I would not pay the normal amount for this specific room, facilities and food options.

Breakfast was excellent, delicious and enough. Restaurant staff were very professional. The First room that I was checked in exceeded my expectations. Very smart and spacious, smelt lovely. Amenities were wow! Pilipili sunrise room. Oops reception staff were very welcoming and professional.

The Beach house was sort of a nightmare. Staff unprofessional, smart small room but foul smell was coming from nearby service rooms. Had no air conditioner despite Zanzibar being hot

Beach-side location, very friendly staff, room with a beautiful view, large portions of food for breakfast. Easy access to the 'catamarans'. Out of town, so not very populated/touristy. Got to connect with the locals.

The beach boys are a bit relentless in Jambiani, but they do steer clear of the security. The lounge chairs sometimes had sand on it. The hotel offered trips (snorkeling, village etc) but it wasn't always available, or would sometimes just be canceled.

Nothing fascinating about this property

On their website they say u have access to all pilipili hotels only for u to get there abd be told to pay more for you to just chill during the day at Pilipili Tropical. Their breakfast is not good, the breads were not fresh and the entire breakfast is just not nice. The staff needs to learn basic English because the communication barrier makes it more difficult.

Very comfortable bed, very friendly staff, clean room, beautiful views of the beach, free, complementary breakfast, and Overall, I thought it was such a charming place to stay!

Nothing I didn’t like! I would have liked a view of the beach from my room, but that is totally OK!
