Home Away Ella

I loved everything about my stay at Home Away. I was welcomed by Hansi and very well looked after. She was sweet and professional by reaching out to me to coordinate my arrival. The room was incredibly clean and had everything I could ask for (and more). The space was thoughtfully furnished with extras like a kettle and mini fridge, comfortable bedding and toiletries. Hot showers, good internet. It made my travels very easy. Each morning the breakfast was fresh, nourishing and very tasty. It was definitely a big highlight. It took me 5 minutes to walk to Home Away from the Ella bus stop and was easy to find. I appreciated that it was convenient to get to all the main sites, shops and restaurants in Ella, but removed from the crowd and noise of the town. I’m very happy that I was able to book Home Away and would highly recommend. Hansi and family are all stars!

Wat heb ik genoten van mijn verblijf bij Home Away Ella. De familie is ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam, en indien nodig rijden ze je in hun tuktuk overal naartoe. De kamer was ruim en schoon, inclusief klein terras waar ieder ochtend een heerlijk uitgebreid ontbijt werd geserveerd. Het ligt wat verder weg van het centrum (middels een kleine klim alsnog te lopen), maar daardoor is het er juist ook wel lekker rustig. Zou hier een volgende keer zo weer verblijven!

Alles hat gestimmt. Das Zimmer und daa Bad isind mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Es war alles sauber und gut gepflegt. Die Terasse war auch schön. Wir wurden herzlich mit Kaffee und Kuchen begrüßt. Bei Fragen zu Ausflägen bekommt man gute Tipps oder kann sie auch dort buchen. Das Frühstück war sehr sehr gut! Ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen. Lage zum Zentrum ist auch sehr gut. 10 bis 15 Minuten zufuß.

We had 3 x nights at Home Stay Ella early Sept, charged just over 41usd/night inc basic breakfast. After staying at many homestay b4 in Sri Lanka for 1/2 price we had high hopes. There is nowhere comfy to sit outside, only table & chairs used for brekky with no cushions. This only leaves the bed to sit on. Owner moved our washing multiple times & plumbing pipe in bathroom came off twice splashing dirty water everywhere. Nearly slipped over in bathroom shower area which is wet. The saving grace is Murunga cafe next door for fab food/drinks & were driven to train station

If this was 1/3 to 1/2 price we paid I would recommend. Owners could be friendlier & more customer focussed

I spent two nights at Home Away Ella and had an amazing experience. Sachintha provided excellent recommendations for things to do in the area, her husband kindly picked me up from the train station and dropped me off at the bus stop, and the home-cooked breakfasts were absolutely delicious. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with thoughtful amenities including an iron and tea/coffee facilities — it truly exceeded my expectations. Sachintha and her husband went above and beyond to take care of their guests. I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Ella and the surrounding area. Nothing - everything was amazing.

La struttura è stupenda. La camera è dotata di molti accessori come il Wi-Fi, il phon, l’adattatore elettrico, un kit di primo soccorso ed altre cose molto utili ai viaggiatori. La pulizia è al di sopra dello standard e il profumo che emana la camera è inebriante, considerando la media nazionale. La colazione è eccellente. I proprietari sono accoglienti e gentili oltremodo, ci hanno accompagnati alla stazione senza pretendere nulla. Per quanto mi riguarda è la migliore struttura alberghiera che ho trovato in Sri Lanka.

Gentilezza ed accoglienza dei proprietari, colazione superba, perfetta per affrontare i trekking in zona. Ottima posizione, a 5 minuti a piedi dal centro, ma fuori dalla caotica via principale e comoda per tutti i trekking di zona
