Master Builder's House Hotel

The room was absolutely gorgeous, with a huge comfy bed and lovely view. The food was delicious and the service excellent.

My husband and I had a lovely two night stay at The Master Builders Hotel. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Especially the two ladies on reception and the restaurant & bar staff. The food was delicious too. The atmosphere in the hotel was cosy and very welcoming. The surrounding grounds has lots of interesting history for you to explore. I would highly recommend a stay here. You won’t be disappointed.

We had a lovely weekend at the Master Builder Hotel. The Location, Food and staff were great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Just one small complaint. The sound proofing in our room was not good. You could hear every movement from the room above. eg. a chair being moved, a cup put down, a voice. Sounds a bit trivial but a bit anoying early in the morning !! Would stay again but in another room .

An excellent stay. The staff were brilliant making sure that the stay was smooth and welcoming. Location is excellent and the grounds steeped in history. Good food, lovely room and all in all a perfect stay

This was a much postponed short break. The beautiful location and fascinating history were expected, but we were bowled over by the friendliness of the staff, great service and superb food. We shall certainly return in warmer weather for an extended stay.

We stayed for two nights and we had stayed previously a long time ago. The Hotel has lots of history, which we like. Our room was at the top of the house and it had another adjacent room which we used as a reading room. The most outstanding thing about this place is the exceptionally good service and food. All staff are friendly, helpful and very accommodating. The Hotel occupies an older building, grade 2 listed. There is a new block which we have not stayed in. The views from the windows are of the Beaulieu River. It is a very special historic place in the New Forest.

The Adams block, where my son stayed with our dog....a little tired

Had always wanted to visit Bucklers Hard and took the opportunity of a birthday to do so. The hotel is exceptional. We were in the Victorious room (19) on the first floor with a great view over the River Beaulieu and a large bathroom with a shower big enough for two. The staff were very friendly and efficient and I did not feel the stay was overpriced as some commentators have mentioned. We ate in Henry's Pub on both nights and on the second night I had the best ribeye I have ever tasted. The weather was awful but we will definitely return in the summer and enjoy some local walks.

A beautiful, peaceful hotel in a beautiful location. The staff are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary here and they made it very special with a lovely note in the room and prosecco at dinner. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and Henry’s pub is rustic and inviting with open fires. The room was clean, bright and modern with a super comfy bed and great shower. We will definitely come again. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Lovely location, really nice vibe to the place - great lounge with open fires. Bar was really good and the food was excellent - as were the staff. Very enjoyable 3 night break for my wife’s 60th birthday. Well done guys !
