Character 2 double bedroom cottage in Shaftesbury

This was the first time on our trip that the owner actually not only met us at the property but took the time to show us around and explain how everything worked. It is an absolutely gorgeous old cottage. The upstairs floors are a little uneven but it just adds to the character of the place. Everything we could have asked for was there (except a tumble dryer). We only stayed for 2 nights but will not hesitate to recommend this place.

Beautiful cottage in a lovely town. We were welcomed by the friendly owners who did everything to make our stay enjoyable.

We stayed for six nights in May 2025. We liked the ambience, the facilities, and the comfortable beds. The hosts were very welcoming, and the location was excellent. Do highly recommend for a short or extended stay.

Very quaint cottage with a very short walk into town centre. The host was so lovely too, explaining everything in detail

Noisy road, lots of traffic but to be fair it did stop in the evening and did not keep us awake

Very well cared for. Full of character. Lovely patio as per the picture. Kitchen well equipped for self catering. Very convenient location, easy walk to town centre and Castle Hill. Friendly hosts who obviously care about providing a great guest experience.

It was great, all as advertised. A slightly later check out would have been the icing on the cake but it’s fairly standard.

Too much traffic noise from 4.30am till 9.30am (not the fault of the owners just a busy road) Shower cubicle too small and hot/cold water mix not great, water pressure low Strong pungent smell of an old cottage (just how it is) Too many bins for waste materials
