Central position, although perhaps a bit too chaotic at night.

My wife and I are returning guests of this property. However, its state of maintenance of the apt given to us left us really disappointed. The bed headboard for instance was falling apart leaving pieces of leather on the pillows; the bathroom paint was left unfinished on a portion of the wall and ceiling, as if it was at a work-in-progress stage, chairs with visible stains of dirt, toilet cover unstable. We found the conditions on the apartment (n322), on paper a 4* accommodation, to be such that it could not be offered to guests. We immediately asked to be changed of apt as we had reserved 4 nights, but the management couldn’t accommodate our request. We asked for partial reimbursement and they offered not to charge us the city tax (2€ pp/night out of 666€). Just ridiculous! Luggage storage available only on cash payment and without receipt, although card machine was fully functioning.

An absolute disaster from start to finish. The property was not well arranged for a late check in and we waited outside for almost an hour prior to gaining access, only being able to get in by access from another guest. Calling the host was unsuccessful and not answered. Soon after our check in the hot water system tripped the switch board and we waited at the flat for hours for this to be assessed by a tradesperson. Then we had to change to a lesser location, a property nearly 20mins further from our booking. The unit was also tired with poor upkeep of some finishes.

The place is just in the centre of all the Lisbon buzz which is great. Right outisde there are numerous restaruants and shops. Just across the street there's a big food-court.

We got the keys and were very unpleasantly surprised. The place wasn't cleaned after the last guests. I know things like this happen sometimes but what was very disapointing was that the person/host I was in contact with didn't reply to any of my calls and messages and I never got any response from them again. We finally got this issue fixed by contacting the Porto office and someone from there (I assume) contacted Lisbon office to finally get cleaning service to our apartment. We felt very frustrated because we had had a long day behind us and we got to the place even 3,5 hours after check-in to find it in complete mess. We had to wait for another 2 hours to get this issue resolved. Sad that nobody didn't bother to even apologize for the issue.. I guess small compensatsion was completely out of the question.
