Nanny and Chips House

Great size for our party of people , also it was miserable and cold out so it was nice to be warm in the house

Really the only problem was technology , we had kids with us and the WIFI was intermittent and we only had choice of terrestrial TV no Netflix etc I’m pretty good with the tech side but couldn’t get it working which when you have kids it’s a nightmare, I think in 2026 offering family size accommodation you need to have much much better entertainment facilities 👍👍😀

We loved everything , i could not find any faults , the house was immaculate , the owner is lovely we met her in her chipshop which is a couple doors down from the house the chipshop prices where brilliant and the food was fab, the house is a short walk from the center , only disappointment is we didnt book longer i could easily of stayed longer

Property was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. Earlier requested check in was accepted which made our lives much easier so was very much appreciated. Communication was good.

Narrow stairs and lots of them to get to one of the bedrooms (3 story house) Kitchen small (one person at a time), location was quite a distance from main area and parking wasn’t ideal as only street parking available and when we arrived we couldn’t get very close.

The accommodation was clean and tidy but very basic. We weren’t looking for high end or luxury but certain things need attention The pots & pans leak and well past their sell by date The beds, mattresses, pillows and bedding is very poor quality and tbh needs changing. The kitchen cupboard are broken, fridge doesn’t close properly. No hand towels provided at all, not even in bathrooms. 1 tea towel Very poor kitchen equipment and very few utensils.

The house is in a good spot but not suitable for people who struggle with steep hills. The owner is local if needed

Great location, Close to the city centre. Easy to park in the same street. The house is big and confortable to feel like at home.

Perfect location, not far from hustle and bustle of the centre but just outside enough to be quiet and relaxing. Easy to get to and from and very comfy and clean!
