Urbanicooh Asinelli - Balcony on Piazza Maggiore

The location is amazing. Right in the heart of bologna. The size and layout was also great for the location.

When we walked in the front door we were overwhelmed with a pungent air freshener smell. This is always a red flag to us and so we gathered multiple air fresheners up and placed them outside. After a full day of clearing the lingering smell we noticed what they were trying to mask, a strong sewage / musty smell near the bathroom with the shower. We ended up dealing with this as is as better than the air freshener but not a pleasant experience. The other negative was the mattresses were very very firm and uncomfortable. We normally sleep on a firm mattress so this isn’t the issue. They were just uncomfortable. Lastly, we tried to make up the sofa bed for one of our kids but there was no bedding to be found in the apartment for this, only a blanket.

Amazing location! right on the piazza so easy to come and go. Loved the balcony, sat there with my 20 month old grandson and watched the world go by. Asked for extra pillow and got them promptly.

Not well stocked compared to the place we just left. No microwave to reheat food. Room too hot but turning down the heat did not help. Asked for extra coffee, did not receive it.

This was a very central location with stunning views of the piazza. Surrounded by the fabulous street life of Bologna. Super easy to co-ordinate access and parking. Highly recommend!!

Michelle was very communicative and checked in on us every night to be sure all was well. Lovely apartment, great location and very clean on arrival. Photos are an excellent depiction of what you can expect.

Everyone sits on the edge of the bed, so I would turn the mattresses to even them out and increase their usage.
