"A truly delightful place to stay with lovely and welcoming hosts."

Beautiful accommodation with large and serene grounds and stunning views. The hosts were so nice and friendly and truly went above and beyond to make our stay a memorable one. The room was comfy and spacious and the home cooked food was delicious. There was a veritable library of books throughout that I could have spent a week just studying. Cannot recommend highly enough

Not applicable. Our hosts tended to our every needs and truly made us feel welcome. The home was old fashioned but as a centuries old manor house this in no way a negative and was a part of the whole stays charm.

"Idyllic peaceful old Manor House, completely quiet, perfect for a complete rest"

Breakfast was sumptuous - eggs with caviar to start. Plenty of it, lovely dining room, all needs met. Amy provided fruit for my husband and full English for me. There was juice and coffee and tea as much as we wanted There was a wonderful hall with a wood burner where I sat in peace and read a book. Amy supplied me with snacks of fruit and cheese straws really looking after me in a friendly and homely way

The bathroom was not ensuite but we had sole use so that did not matter.

The breakfast was superb, with plenty of options to choose from & the evening meal was a truly scrumptious feast! Genuine hospitality & very friendly accommodating people. It's a peaceful & captivating retreat for those who seek it. Private parking was a godsend, which makes a big difference when staying in the Lake District.

We found the shower hose not very functional in the bathroom but we did notice there was a new one waiting to be installed, it wasn't a problem, because you had a choice of using an electric shower in the other bathroom or to plunge into a delightful large bath.

"Not my usual Hotel Stay...but a very warm and welcoming stay in a lovely Historical House..."

Had a job trying to find the place...but was made very welcome when I finally found the Hall..Hostess made me an evening meal which was very tasty..and breakfast was delicious too..

Entry to The Hall is rather daunting...I was wandering around trying to find entry..but the Hosts found me and brought me in...

The breakfast was typically English. very tasty. The house is a real old-style English house surrounded by a big garden and a beautiful landscape. Really peaceful. Friendly people.

Everything was top. Ideal to relax. There you have to forget that time flies. It is not for people who are in a hurry. The air is very fresh. Very heallty there.
