Cosy home perfect for families and contractors with free parking

We stayed for 1 night on our way to Newcastle for the great north run. Great location, lovely and clean.

We chose this property ahead of going to Croft circuit so found it was ideally placed. Spotlessly clean and quite cozy. Excellent shower room and comfortable beds.

Street parking was okay however we missed that it was possible to park at the rear as we arrived in the dark. There were some minor maintenance issues: the roller blind in the lounge was broken and there was a distinct lack of glasses.

Nice starting point to visit north England. Comfortable home away from home. Helpfull owner who answered all questions promptly.

TV sound is not good.

The house was clean and tidy. We got there a bit earlier than expected due to the very heavy rain. And the lovely cleaner who was finishing the cleaning let us in early. Good for an overnight stay close to where we needed to be. Nice kitchen kettle, plates and cups. We met the host just after we arrived who informed us that check in was after 4pm booking. Com has it at 3pm.we arrived at 2:45 so he was surprised to see us. But was OK with us being there.

Kitchen only had 1 wine glass and 2 odd tumblers. And only 1 oven tray that needed replacing. Oven and toaster weren't very good. On street parking was difficult. Noise from people walking past in early hours disturbed sleep. This is more of a contractors short stay than for families. To watch TV you had to use I player. No live channels.

Clean if basic

Lock box code wrong. No hot water for shower. Fortunately cleaner answered phone to advise code changed.

Easy to find and access was easy.

We booked late so that could have contributed to the lack of being ready. No toilet paper, tissues, no tea or coffee, rubbish st the back door. We were not told it had stairs.
