Unique Cottage Next to Wildlife Park - Sleeps 6

The property is in a quiet location but not far from the nearest town. It is very spacious and we liked the fact that there is an onsuite bathroom in the main bedroom. The standard of the fixtures and furnishings is very good. Communication with the host was excellent. Would defintely recommend.

On arrival we found that the toilets weren't flushing properly. The host arranged for a company to come and empty the septic tank which resolved the problem. However we were only there 2 nights and on the second night and on the morning of our departure there was a very strong smell of sewage in part of the building. The tank was emptied on the morning of our departure. I feel that this was something that shouldn't have happened and the levels in the tank should have been monitored and emptied before it got to that stage.

We loved this place! It was clean and tidy and the owners had left tea, coffee, sugar, milk, butter and some condiments which was a lovely touch. Very spacious and the en-suite was great in main bedroom for my Mum. We loved the open plan kitchen/living area so we could all chat while cooking. The huge garden was another bonus for our two dogs.

We had trouble with the locks on the bedroom doors which needed a code but the owners were of help over the phone. We also struggled with the lock on the door which was very stiff and had a knack to it, but no complaints at all as we had a lovely stay.

Very clean, quality finish/ TV etc, great parking, close enough to Horncastle to walk in. very reasonable price

Nothing. If I'm going to be niggly, a wardrobe in twin room would have been good.
