Sunny Brae, dog friendly Windermere Cottage

Cosy, warm, very clean, and excellent location. Fully equipped with lots of facilities. Thanks for the welcome biscuits. Didn't expect that the house has 4 levels. Basement for kitchen, laundry and back patio. Ground floor for living room and dining room. 1st floor for 2 double bedrooms and 1 shower toilet. 2nd floor attic for bathroom and 2 single beds bedroom. So be prepare to go up and down stairs.

Washing machine kept stopping during drying cloth and showing error. Unable to dry clothes with machine. Stove was slow in heating up the pot for cooking. It took long time to cook. The basement kitchen has a low ceiling. If you are above 6ft which one of us is, he could not stand straight in the kitchen. Kept hitting his head on ceiling.

It was home from home....lovely location. Near all amenities like shops, cafes and pubs. As well as the beautiful lake and countryside.

The corner sofa was not big enough for 5 adults and 2 children. We couldn't all sit together. Also, the beds were hard, so they could do with a memory foam toppa. Apart from that. Also, the shower on the middle floor was tiny. I couldn't move around freely in it. My personal opinion anyway.

Lovely cottage, walking distance to Windermere and Bowness, comfortable beds.

Check in (4 pm) and check out (10am) time that quite not match the tourist’s needs as we have luggages that need to be secure at the place and that we are free to explore the city.

The cottage was beautiful, well-maintained, and full of charm. The location in Windermere was perfect, offering stunning views and a peaceful setting. The interior was cosy, clean, and had all the amenities needed for a relaxing stay.

There was nothing to dislike. Everything exceeded expectations.

Lovely location, walkable to Bowness and Windermere! Very well equipped with washing up stuff, tea/coffee/sugar and cooking oil.

Stairs were a bit steep for my elderly parents but apart from that it was a great property

Location close to bars and restaurants. Comfortable beds, communication. Complimentary tea and coffee. Nice outdoor area. Good size dining room. Good parking. Board games for families Pet friendly.

Key in lockbox at ankle level, very difficult to operate as this was floor level. Uncomfortable sofa. Kitchen hob was useless and had very little heat, took an age to cook meal for 7 as there where only 2 rings. Damp smell at top floor of house, with mould present in bathroom. Cold areas in house even though heating was on. Several loose fixtures and fittings.
