"Not up to motel standard."

Was a nice old house and the proprietor was friendly. (She offered me supper if I wanted as it was late by the time I got my there because my mobile didn't work in the US and the taxi dispatcher, and none of the drivers at EWR knew where EWR Motelcasa Guest House was. I eventually convinced one to find it on Google Maps and he drove me there. He made me wait in the cab until he was sure he had the right number.) It was basic but reasonably comfortable and I slept OK but couldn't find anyone to phone a cab to take me to the station in the morning before a guest kindly did it for me.

Newer bed. Better equipped bathroom. More service.
