Laid back, easy going spot, great vibes all around!

Great hostel on the seafront with good private rooms and dorms. Each bed has a fan and a mosquito net, and the location on the beachfront is unbeatable. Would definitely recommend!

Very friendly people. Right on the beach with a charming local village all around.

No Wi-Fi It would have been nice to have mesh or glass in the windows in the double room rather than a hole closed off with a board on a dtring

Great choice if you are looking for a chilled ”in your extended living room” vibe. Easy to make friends, great location right at the beach. Did not have an opportunity to try the breakfast. No AC in the rooms but for me the fan in the private room was sufficient.

Given the location (small fishing village on an island without major infrastructure) I think the facilities are what you could expect. Would have appreciated an electric converter in the shower to allow for hot water/at least adjusting the temperature of the water but didn’t mind too much.

I was scared to walk on the stairs, especially with my heavy backpack to carry me up and down. I asked for help since I did not feel safe. There was only one hammock by the beach in the whole hostel. There was no eating by the beach. There was no soup or shampoo in the bathroom and showers. There was yoga for a small amount, but for 6 nights, I was there in town only once it was provided. Always was something 😩!

I loved my stay at Seashell Guesthouse. Everything was clean, the hostel is well-maintained, the owners and volunteers were super friendly and were able to give me all the information I needed. The hostel is very easy to get to, as it's only 2 minutes from the M'Pai bay pier. The atmosphere is both relaxed and lively. It's also a great place to meet people. I recommend it 100% if you decide to stay at M'Pai Bay. Important to know: if you want to reach the island's other beaches, the only option is to take a taxi boat $10 for a return trip.
