BLUE WAVES kite surfing beach resort

The pool was beautiful and not crowded, you could easily get a sunbed. It was set back a bit from a lovely beach and there was a delicious restaurant right next door.

The management was non existent so the very well meaning staff had absolutely no idea what to do. The restaurant only had strong lager or coke for the three nights we were there.

The resort itself is brand new and beautiful. The food was nice.

The WiFi and TV were disabled, probably due to it being low season. They would not turn it on. The bar only had strong Lion beer available and was expensive. The nearest beach was unpleasant- full of cow dung. The amount of flies at breakfast made eating uncomfortable. Granted this is not the resorts problem, but they could have used some fans.

Beautiful, cabbanas with clean bathroom.very close to the beach. very friendly, accommodating staff, and very helpful.specially mr. ushan he is really helped with every issue. The room is nice, air conditioning and clean. The resort is newly built so the rooms are in good order.

The staff laugh at you when you ask for anything, they are untrained. They offer you a menu for food but have no chef as say it is not possible for everything on the menu. The breakfast is cold and covered in flies. The breakfast juice and fruit is prepared on a chopping board previously used for garlic and onions, everything tastes of onion! There is no power! They say they have a generator but the battery is dead and they will not fix. We cannot charge phone or eat any food ! The whole place is let down by a group of untrained children who have zero clue on how to run a hotel or service of any kind. We are deeply disappointed!

Rooms were spacious cabanas with outdoor toilet/shower, TV, Wi-Fi, AC, clean linings and super comfy bed, on-site restaurant with an amazing kitchen staff that will go out of their way to accommodate. Small little restaurants nearby in case you salivate for something different. Beach is nearby instead of beachfront, but only a 50m walk. They actually can take a credit card but the system is hit or miss. Kiteboarding is paid thru this staff but this establishment has no equipment or instructors. They hire next door local legend.

It’s far out there so no drivers quarters are available nor a bus stop of any kind. Prepare to find your own way back as well. There is a tuk tuk that will take you to the nearest town for a bus. Beach is near but can be a little trashy. Flys during breakfast or dinner can be pretty bad at times but they try to get rid of them when annoying. You can still eat in your room if necessary.

Amazing qulity of food specially seafood and service

Unique property with gorgeous villas. Feels like a very exclusive resort when you get there with only 12 or so villas surrounding the pool with direct access to the beach. Only opened in early Jan 2023 so still very new. Children enjoyed the pool and poolside service. Service provided by staff was very polite, always with a smile and always ready to serve. We were welcomed with some lovely cold fruit juice and treated to complimentary tea during our 2 night stay which was appreciated. Food served at the restaurant was also delicious.

Placement of the AC units in the bedrooms pointing towards the beds. Lack of hangers to hang clothes only shelves A chair would have been a useful addition. Lacked some basic amenities like facial tissues, a bin in the room. Limited menu for coffees and desserts Bees at breakfast!

We had a very comfortable stay at blue waves. The rooms are outstanding and Gayan and his team are super friendly. Food is also quite delicious.

Wifi doesn‘t work for our whole stay.

Had a great stay at Blue Waves. Rooms are clean, staff is incredibly kind and responsive.
