The property is a lovely old house in the middle of the countryside and set in lovely well kept grounds. It is away from traffic noise and has the peace and quiet needed to balance modern life. Our bedroom appeared recently decorated and had all the amenities as described. The hotel smells amazing with diffusers at intervals throughout the hotel. Staff were polite and attentive and made our stay very comfortable. The food was excellent with portion sizes very generous.

The menu although lovely would benefit from having more options and perhaps a choice of coffee’s after the evening meal as it would have been nice to have a cappuccino etc. The dining room also appeared a little dusty in places. If I was to be really picky I would also mention that the beds in our twin room were very close together, an issue only because I was staying with my Mum and not my partner.

Lovely hotel, great breakfast, very pleasant staff lovely big room, well equipped

Dinner could have been better, menu is minimal in choice, felt as though we were sidelined a little because they had a party of people at the same time, dinner is a little basic ie and no special board is available, breakfast is good but dinner requires a bit more attention considering the price

Everything! Lovely location. Beautiful room (especially the family room which my daughter, son-in-law and two children occupied), characterful building, exceptionally clean and excellent staff. Even the weather was perfect!

There was nothing at all to dislike.
