I think £25 for our little dog for one night is excessive we often stay in hotels and that is the most we ve had to pay that would stop me coming again also the t v is a smart t v not being very technical minded it wasn’t good for us

A fabulous stay - everything about the venue was amazing - beautifully furnished with excellent and thoughtful facilities. Breakfast was wonderful, great bedrooms, the hairdryer was fab. The hosts couldn’t have done more. We were fortunate that the weather was beautiful so we were able to sit out on the terrace - we came home on the evening to the log burner being on - so cosy and good variety of refreshments available. Lots of books to look through and a great range of games. Would definitely stay at the Rose and Thistle again! Do visit you won’t be disappointed!!! Thank you so much Susan for your hospitality!

Absolutely nothing!!!

Everything, this property has been recently re furbished to a very high standard; as well as a very smart and comfortable room there is a lovely lounge area where you can have hot drinks and biscuits whilst you relax. There are also books and board games provided. Sue, who looked after us was exceptional, she even lit the fire in the lounge for us. Breakfast next morning was delicious everything you could want including freshly ground coffee. We ate in the pub the previous evening and had a really good meal. which was excellent value for money. Once again the staff were very friendly and efficient. The Rose and Thistle is located in a stunning bit of Northumberland and I am sure that had it not been raining the evening we were there we could have sat outside and taken advantage of the Dark Skies of Northumberland. Overall a wonderful stay.

Breakfast was very good everything about the Rose & Thistle was fantastic. The freshly ground coffee was excellent. Somewhere to put muddy footwear and wet clothes. The boot room was a brilliant idea especially to clean 🐶🐶 .

There was nothing to dislike.

Perfect from arriving to leaving. The property is in a perfect location to explore rural Northumberland and the Cheviot hills with amazing views and walks from the door. The bedroom was large, airy, really comfortable, immaculately clean and finished to a high standard. The bathroom was large, finished to a high standard and the shower was excellent. The breakfast room is lovely and the breakfast was excellent quality The owners and staff were friendly, welcoming and professional. The Pub side of the business is great with excellent food choices and very good quality. Good choice of beers and wines etc. The staff at the Pub are also brilliant, very friendly and professional. Really enjoyed our stay and couldn’t fault anything about it.

The staff in the bar and restaurant was so friendly and lovely,nothing was too much they went above and beyond. Beautiful meal for dinner . Can't fault our room it's all been refurbished and it's beautiful . Would go back no problem.
