Property Notes

No evening meals on Sundays Our pub's kitchen closes early on a Sunday and last orders for food are at approx. 3pm. If you have booked for Sunday we will be glad to facilitate an early check-in to accommodate for this. The Star Inn at Harbottle (3 min drive) is also an excellent alternative if you can't arrive early. Our pub is normally closed on Mondays and Tuesdays Please note that our pub/restaurant is closed on most Mondays (unless Monday is a Bank Holiday) and Tuesdays. The Star Inn will be open and we will help with transport if necessary.This property does not accommodate bachelor(ette) or similar parties. Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation. A deposit may be required at the property.

"Exceptional"

It was all very nice but is actually 18 or so miles away from Morpeth and 20 minutes to get back onto the A697 the following morning. Standard double bed which might not be suitable for two big people.

Zeer vriendelijke mensen, heerlijk ontbijt, ze geven je een heel welkom gevoel.

De prijs voor de hond als je er maar 1 nachtje verblijft is wel vrij hoog.

"Great stay at the Rose & Thistle"

We liked everything right from the welcome through to the cleanliness and quality of the accommodation. Breakfast was superb and the food in the pub was exceptional. Highly recommend to anyone. We had a little Jack Russell travelling with us and they even cooked him his own breakfast sausage. Top venue.

"Beware if booking through Booking.com"

The room and shower room were very clean. Adequate size, with a nice outlook to the garden, which is beautifully kept. Breakfast was hot and tasty. If It could improve on anything, it would be to have tea/coffee facilities in the bedrooms.

Did the hotel meet my expectations. I answered no, but not because of any fault with the Hotel. The Hotel was marvellous, the room very clean and the bathroom spotless. It did not meet my expectations due to Booking.com not providing accurate information about the Hotel. Booking.com's website states that this hotel has a bar and restaurant for lunches and dinner. It does, but what it fails to tell you is that the bar and restaurant are closed on a Monday and Tuesday, which meant we had to make other arrangements for dinner. Booking.com is probable one of the worst at customer service, and I am still waiting for a response to my complaint. I wont hold my breath.
