The Cottage at Barkwith House

Compact and comfortable little cottage, tucked away in a very quiet spot in the middle of Leiston with good off-street parking. Very homely feel and a comfy bed. Luckily I'd studied the photos and realised the kitchen only has a small microwave, a toaster and a kettle, so take-aways or eating out are the order of the day. The bath is lovely, but if you're a shower person you'll be holding onto the shower and doing it freestyle and trying not to get the water everywhere. I enjoyed my stay there.

Comfortable and cosy . Bright and cheerful decor. Well looked after despite age of place. Bed very comfortable. Very clear instructions about how to find it. Lovely bathroom.

As the owner was in the same building, you could hear them moving around at times, which was a bit off-putting as it was only a connecting door separating the properties. Wifi was a bit temperamental.

Kitchen floor very dirty and fridge very dirty had to buy cleaning products to clean before put my food in ,couldnt have been cleaned before my stay dried on milk food in it some thick wouldn't come off ,kitchen floor dirty too

The Cottage was great and exceeded expectations! Very clean and very comfortable. Instructions to find the entrance and the keys were straightforward. An amazing bathroom and the snacks were a welcome surprise and very much appreciated, thank you!

Comfortably furnished and equipped with much character

The access was well described by the owner but could be a little confusing if you don't pay attention

A really lovely, cosy, very beautifully renovated space. Small but very functional and well thought through. Tucked in behind the main house, so just a little traffic noise in the day and absolutely quiet at night. Make sure you follow well described instructions on how to get to private parking area right by cottage.

The cottage was really comfortable and we felt at home as soon as we arrived. We had bottles of wine, tea, jams, milk and biscuits to welcome us. The bathroom was great. We both woke up feeling great.

We had a thick duvet on the bed when it was 25 degrees outside, all good when we took the duvet out of the cover.

Took a little time to find even with instructions
