Miller's Cottage in Lancaster

Great location, cosy house. Comfortable and very well equipped. Quiet street. A little gem. City centre 10 min walk. Canal 5 min walk. Great base for exploring Lancaster. Good places to eat/drink on Moorgate (esp The Gregson and The Little Greek Kitchen). Many others in town such as The Sultan of Lancaster, The White Cross and John of Gaunt pubs. Good interaction with owner. Clear instructions for day of arrival.

Single step down into bathroom and kitchen can catch you out if not ready for it. Some of doors can stick a bit.

Spacious Clean All the stuff there we would need to use

Location. Space. Efficient heating.

Lacking anything to play music/radio on. A smartspeaker or similar is needed. Tv not functional.

Great value for money spacious property in a central location, easy to walk and explore Lancaster. Local shop for basic supplies. Easy on road parking and good water pressure for showering. Would recommend The White Cross canal side pub, lovely staff and amazing pies!

The bed was too firm for us. Worth noting the stairs are steep with a shallow tread so maybe tricky for elderly or children. Yes its a bit odd that the only TV is in the bedroom but its small and portable.

Well presented clean cottage.

Going to the back of the property was unusual to get to the key lock box. The box was rather low for me to deal with.

The closeness to Lancaster centre via the canal.

Nothing to mention here.

Great location very near the city centre and Ashton memorial well presented and equipped.

Only two little niggles would prefer the tv in the lounge area and a full length mirror in the bed room .

The price was right and location was ideal for us. We were just 6 mins. walk from Sainsbury and my adult son who was in Caton Court student accommodation. Sandra, our host effectively communicated the self check-in/out process and her cottage was clean and had all the bits and pieces needed for a comfortable stay. We had free parking right in front of the cottage and good WiFi. We enjoyed our privacy in the quiet street location and will highly recommend.

Tall grass in the path leading to the damp backyard where we had to go through to access the cottage. Slug slime was visible on the rugs in the living room at check-in and I saw a slug just outside the kitchen/dining door on our 2nd night.
