Perfect location, perfect studio. The host was amazing and helpful. When we return to new york we will be sure to book here again

I can't think of anything that I did not like. All was perfect

A block and a half from the subway that you could take into Manhattan 1 hr ride. Two blocks from the beach, Keurig, refrigerator, microwave in room. Mattress very comfortable. Quiet building. A lot of amazing restaurants and shops nearby. I would stay again unit 12.

Not much

The entrance procedure was difficult. I did arrive there in the evening where it was dark, which did not help the situation, but it wasn’t that simple. The room smelled and Air Conditioner kept blowing circuit breaker,,, not enough for towels not enough of soap. Basically the place was a disaster. I don’t know why you keep places like this on your list. You’re fooling the customer.. do not keep places like this on your choice. And you should send people out from booking to check these places. They had no on-site customer service. It had to go by phone and it replies with sometimes hours and hours before they respond.

I think the reason that there is such a range of opinions about this place is because there are 2 apartments, an upstairs and a downstairs. The downstairs studio was BEAUTIFUL. Just the right size, right amenities, great bed, great upkeep. Fresh sheets and towels, fresh. GREAT pillows. Just exceeds my expectations. It smelled fresh and clean. Window air conditioner, worked great, canceled noises from outside and neighbors. Lovely neighborhood; felt safe. Very personable host, very responsive. Didn't try the tv, coffee maker, microwave. Fridge was clean and empty.

So. The reviews critiquing the front door locks ARE ALL TRUE. A portcullis would have been a technological upgrade. Reviews frequently mentioned the bed falling down because of the slats. "Huh," I thought, "this bed is actually pretty stable. Must be new..." until 4:30 am, when slats started raining down onto the floor. Although the host is very responsive, you will not see him in person. He was unable/unwilling to grant me later than an 11 am checkout, so I ran my long distance race without storing my luggage, and not taking a shower/nap afterwards.

I’m extremely disappointed with the condition of the studio. It was filthy on arrival — the bed sheets appeared used, the toilets and bathroom were full of hair, and the place clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly, if at all. I have taken photos as proof. I immediately contacted customer support asking for either a change of property or a refund, but received no response, which made the situation even more unacceptable. Staying there in those conditions was not only uncomfortable, but also unhygienic. This experience was far below any reasonable standard, and I expect this matter to be taken seriously. Fantastic location! Just a step from Brighton Beach which was our destination. Everything close by: shops, metro, beach. Very peaceful place.

The property was cozy and had a great atmosphere, nice place to lay your head after a night out or two!
