When I arrived the hotel, there was no staff at the reception, and the door bell seems not working. I was waiting outside for a while before someone let me in with no greetings and apologies. Very disappointing experience. The room was nice, but the service was terrible.

It was a great 2 night stay, most we had a wonderful experience at the restaurant, and a big part of that was thanks to the amazing staff. From the moment we arrived be it breakfast or during dinner, we were warmly welcomed and made to feel comfortable. The team were extremely friendly, attentive, and very professional throughout the visit. The dinner team were quick to respond and knowledgeable about the menu, Breakfast team were lovely and attentive. The Service was efficient without feeling rushed, and they consistently checked in to ensure everything was satisfactory. What stood out the most was their positive attitude and genuine care for guest. It truly enhanced the overall dining experience.

The hotel booking process needs significant improvement. I had to go back and forth multiple times between the front desk and Booking.com regarding my reservation. I originally booked for two, but upon getting confirmation email, it showed booking was only for one person. I had already contacted the hotel and booking.com ahead of my arrival day to resolve the issue, yet it remained unresolved even on the day of check-in. This was a very frustrating experience, especially as the reservation had been made few days in advance and both parties has been contacted ahead of the date of arrival. What made the situation worse was that this could have been easily corrected before our arrival. Instead, after a long drive from London, my sister who had just undergone surgery was left sitting in reception while the issue was being sorted out. This added unnecessary stress and discomfort to what should have been a smooth check-in experience.

I loved everything about it

I wasn't informed about the clean air zone they have I. Sheffield and was subsequently charged £140 fine? Would be nice to remind visitors of this so they are aware and can pay in advance I saw no notices around the town either? Think when checking in might be a good idea just to remind people of the fact apart from that was fantastic stay.
