The location was central. Host was very helpful with information and transfers in Palermo.

The listing advertised a kitchen, but there was no sink—nowhere to wash dishes except a bathroom basin without a plug (and a big hole) or cleaning products. The second bathroom barely functioned: the shower was positioned over a toilet that didn’t flush properly, soaking everything. No one would use it. We reported several maintenance issues. The heaters/radiators made loud clicking and banging noises all night, so we couldn’t sleep. The children’s bedroom doors jammed shut, and all the handles squeaked so loudly it sounded like a break-in. The showers had significant mould; we bought our own cleaning supplies to make them usable. The host offered to fix the issues during our stay, but we declined. We were on holiday, out all day with valuables unsecured (no safes provided), and these appeared to be longstanding problems that should have been resolved before guests arrived. He offered breakfast as compensation, which we also declined. By the end of the stay, we were exhausted, frustrated and uncomfortable. My husband contacted the host to request a compensation for the issues raised by way of a refund for a night we chose not to stay, to be processed via booking.com, as is our right under Australian consumer law. The property had hygiene and safety concerns and did not match the listing. His response was shocking. He accused us of blackmail and threats, claimed we demanded money and were “morally violent,” then blocked us, leaving no avenue for resolution. We had followed up three times as we were leaving Palermo. He maintained he had offered repairs, but our position was clear: not during our holiday. He was accommodating until the property’s shortcomings were formally raised. Overall, a deeply disappointing experience.

Great location, super helpful host who provided activity and food recommendations. Nice amount of space for a group holiday. Location is the highlight.

No kitchen, but we didn’t actually need one as there are lovely cafes and restaurants nearby. Kettles and snacks in each room were a nice touch.

Lovely apartment in a fantastic location just moments away from the Teatro Massimo and a wide variety of restaurants and cafes. Gabriele was extremely friendly, helpful and responsive - he went above and beyond any service I've ever received from a holiday apartment rental. Thank you so much. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Very good location, Gabriele was very quick to respond and gave us good advice on restaurants etc. Rooms clean, good Aircon.

There were very noisy builders in the next flat, to be fair Gabriele didn't know about it so a minor grumble. The strangest thing about the flat was although there was a Kitchen/ dining room area there was no sink or washing up facilities 🤔 There was coffee cup and cutlery but no where apart from the bathrooms to wash them, bit odd. So a mixed bag from me I'm afraid.
