Die Lage der Unterkunft ist super. Man ist quasi direkt in der Innenstadt und kann diese fußläufig erkunden! Auch der Host der Unterkunft ist extrem zuvorkommend und freundlich.

Die Ausstattung ist sehr minimalistisch und es gibt keine Ablagemöglichkeiten. Das Bett ist zudem extrem durchgelegen und unbequem. Zu erwähnen wäre außerdem die Karaokeanlage der Einheimischen direkt gegenüber, welche täglich bis 23/ 24 Uhr rum genutzt wurde.

1) Service - the staff are so lovely - great service, very prompt, communicative, with regular whatsapp check-ins to see how you're doing and if they can help with any recommendations or services. We had an early flight but they did their best to accommodate an earlier check-in, housing us at their nearby hostel while we waited. A direction video was also provided on how to get to the house, which was very helpful and thoughtful. 2) Location - right at the heart of georgetown and pretty much at most 15 minutes walk to most of the highlights we wanted to visit, including the Pinang Peranakan Mansion, Armenian Street, Aceh Street and Hin Bus Depot. The only thing is that it faces a busy main road where buses also pass through so expect some level of traffic noise throughout the day and night. If you're sensitive to noise for sleep, bring noise-cancelling earplugs. 3) Villa decor - this is a beautifully restored shophouse with tasteful furnishings and a very cosy and homely environment. It makes you feel like you're home away from home. The bed is also very good, and the fans and air-conditioning worked very well in keeping the loft cool and comfortable even with Penang's heat. The loft is beautiful, looking out to greenery - it captures the changing light of the day and is just a joy to be in.

1) Pillows - The pillows were a little limp - would be good if they could invest in thicker pillows for better sleep 2) Entrance/front of house - The front of house is not as welcoming as it is mostly covered with shutters. Given that the entrance faces a main road and the entire front of the apartment is glass, we had to keep the curtains drawn most/all of the time for privacy, meaning we had very little natural light on the first floor compared to the loft. It would have been better if the glass entrance was frosted so we could still enjoy natural light with privacy. 3) Reception for luggage storage - Aayu has a number of properties, and their hostel does not have a manned reception - for early flights, your luggage will be left unattended in a shared space. Same if you have a late flight, since check out is at 11am. Check with the staff if the Melayu Villa is available to store your luggage, as that is one of the properties with a manned reception.

Dépenser 10 euros de + et Changer d'hôtel pour aller à l'areca hôtel penang. Traverser un magasin puis des bureaux pour accéder à la chamber de secours quand les clients sont mécontents. Perdre le montant d'une chambre car bien évidement nous n'avons pas eu le courage de dormir dans pareil condition. Booking a eu la sympathie de nous octroyer un remboursement symbolique, quand au propriétaire sans grande surprise il se dédouane et fuie la réalité! Chacun son karma finalement.

We kregen een upgrade aangeboden en die was super. Kamer was heel fijn en een goed bed. Regelmatig de vraag of alles naar wens is. De locatie is perfect want veel is op loopafstand. En anders de taxi nemen.

Een punt van verbetering zijn de badhanddoeken. Deze drogen niet goed af.

I love my stay at Heritage Villa by Ayu. Conveniently located close to many popular attractions, with plenty of local food spots just steps away from the villa. The room that I booked were Deluxe King suite, it was comfortable, clean, and surprisingly spacious. Comfy bed, extra large bathrooms with bathtubs, making the stay even more enjoyable. The villa assistant Hariz was also very attentive, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. He guided me to the main entrance upon arrival. A great choice for anyone looking to experience the charm of Penang with comfort and convenience.
