ottima colazione, ottimo il cibo che Graham cucina all'occorrenza. Graham e' persona molto gentile e simpatica.

Das Hotel ist sehr familiär geführt und man fühlt sich vom ersten Tag an sehr wohl. Das Zimmer war sehr schön und das Bett groß, gemütlich und wir haben sehr gut geschlafen. Leider haben wir Graham, über den wir soviel Nettes gelesen haben, nicht kennengelernt, da er gesundheitlich verhindert war. Wir wurden von Chris betreut, der Graham mehr als würdig vertreten hat. Chris hat uns wirklich herzlich empfangen und uns am nächsten Morgen ein frisch zubereitetes wundervolles Frühstück serviert. Gerne wären wir noch länger geblieben......!

Unfortunately, there was nothing positive about this stay, as we were never able to check in.

When we arrived at 21:00, the hotel was completely closed and dark. Nobody answered the door, and repeated phone calls went unanswered. Booking.com also could not reach the property. We were left stranded late at night in a remote area with no help, and had to find another hotel ourselves at much higher cost. Speaking with locals, we also learned this was not the first time guests have been left locked out by this property.

Allt var mycket dåligt. Stängt när vi kom. Så småningom hittade vi enda ansvarig person djupt sovande i en soffa i det mycket stökiga sällskapsrummet. Oerhört svår att väcka. Till slut fick vi nycklar till måttligt städade rum. Värden försvann igen. Telefonnummer för hjälp fungerade inte. Ytterdörrar var öppna. Grannar och andra hotellägare i trakten sa att detta hotell var stängt. Vi försökte hitta annat boende men allt i närheten var upptaget. På morgonen dök ingen upp och ordnade frukost eller fanns till hands för utcheckning. Till slut lade vi våra nycklar i receptionen och åkte vår väg.

Regrettably nothing to like.

The proprietor/host was blind drunk & comatose when I arrived & attempted to check in. Main entry door/reception was locked & the place was bordering on filthy & in a generally unkempt condition with a musty odour evident throughout. Empty crisp packets on floor. Naturally enough there was no way I was going to stay the night at this place....the proprietor appeared totally inept & was clearly not in any fit state to even receive me let alone prepare an evening meal. Hence I was required to find alternative accommodation ar short notice. I have used Booking.com for many years and - in all honesty - this is the only time I have felt compelled to make such a strong & impassioned complaint. I frankly feel that this establishment should be removed from your list/books - this being for the sake of any future prospective guests wishing to book this "pseudo dive" of an establishment. I'm sorry to have to say all this!

Absolument magnifique si vous aimez le calme et tranquillité. Un super petit déjeuner écossais nous a été proposé, la disponibilité de notre hôte était tout à fait remarquable.

Purtroppo niente, perché al nostro arrivo (alle 22.00) il proprietario ci ha comunicato che la struttura era chiusa dicendoci che internet non funzionava da 5 giorni e non era riuscito a comunicare con nessuno (nel 2025?). Ci ha detto se volevamo comunque dormire nelle stanze ma non erano nelle condizioni e abbiamo deciso di andare via. Mi raccomando se volete prenotare chiamate in struttura per assicurarvi che sia aperto!!!

Graham was incredibly hospitable and happy to have a chat and give advice on where to go and what to do. The accomodation was perfect for a little getaway in a quiet town.

The address on Booking.com was incorrect! Follow the Google Maps address!!
