Salameh's Bedouin Camp

Location. It is the furthest camp from the village. Night sky is amazing. Just make sure you don’t go around the full moon or else you have to wait til late night/early morning for star gazing.

From the moment of the reservations you get contacted by the owner who will try to sell you a jeep tour. Even if you don’t opt for it you will still have to pay for transportation from and to the village pretty much the same price you paid for the reservation and dinner with breakfast. This is not mentioned anywhere so please be aware. The rest of the staff is very nice and accommodating.

We can fully recommend staying at Salameh's bedouin camp! It is a nice, smaller camp with only 5 tents, so you will get a really special and personal experience, not massy but classy ;) It is really nice to sit together with only a small amount of others by the fire, watching the stars (yep, Milky way is all there), enjoying some tea and sharing stories. We really had luck with our desert day tour in the Jeep with Aed as our guide. Aed is very funny and nice and knows the desert so good, he showed us so many beautiful places! Totally recommend taking the full day tour: so much fun and you will never get tired of new "wooooows". It is totally worth the 55 JD per person (this is incl. the costs for the night, food etc.) The dinner and breakfast is very delicious and has plenty of choice (also for veggies). Of course the tents do have all the luxury with bathroom, beds, and a big big window to see the desert. Just go there!

Please be aware that you will need to write with Salameh or his family upfront via WhatsApp or Mail to finalize all the details (arrival, which tour, starting point, etc.)

The camp is situated in a great location with comfortable tents facing east, offering breathtaking vistas of the sun rising over the desert. Salameh and his team's warm hospitality, the tasty dinner and breakfast, and the jeep tour led by our knowledgeable driver/guide who took us to the most beautiful desert spots, made of our stay in Wadi Rum a unique and unforgetable experience.

The location is perfect, a small camp, very nice dinner and a wonderful jeeptour with a perfect guide! We'd loved the place, stargazing and magnificent sunset. I only regret not staying another night.

Pleasant folks, simple to book, tiny, intimate camp. Clear, unambiguous pricing that are fair. Everything is tidy yet basic. Camp is quiet and distant to the south. Everything is set up. Excellent meals; I'll stay there the next time I visit Jordan.

Salameh was very helpful thank you Salameh for the nice experience in wadi rum. tent was nice and the tour we did with the sunset was amazing.

The Wadi Rum camp and overnight stay were above and above our expectations. An incredible experience was created by the stunning desert scenery, friendly service, delectable traditional cuisine, and cozy lodging.
