Salameh's Bedouin Camp

Had the most incredible time while staying at this camp. The cuisine is excellent, the surrounding mountains are breathtaking, and the staff is really kind and accommodating. ended up extending my visit. A full-day jeep excursion is highly recommended; it's well worth the money!

The cuisine is fantastic, the service is wonderful, and sleeping in a cave beneath the stars was one of the best experiences of my life. To visit Wadi Rum, I really recommend doing this excursion.

The room was spacious and clean. The top sheets were provided for beds. The dinner was absolutely incredible - the best meal I had in Jordan. Breakfast was also great. They picked up from the village when we arrived. And also drop up back to the village after breakfast on the departure from the camp. We had jeep tour (10am-6pm) with lunch break in the shade and cooked meal. It was great. Water bottles were also provided on the tour (no extra fee).

There is no aircon on the premises, but that was no issue for us ( at night, desert temperatures fall).

Very friendly staff, great chef cooking very traditional food, also for vegetarians. We also had a great day tour through the desert with guide Zaid. He is the best!

Our room just had a bed in it. Could need some furniture to store luggage.

I really enjoyed the tour around Wadi Rum, it was made from a Bedouin guy who really take us everywhere, showing amazing places and cooking a lovely lunch. Just 5 minutes walking by the camp you can watch a lovely sunset. Very good dinner and lovely local breakfast.

I asked for a double room and received a quadruple room without a king bed, I had to put two beds close to each other. Electricity was not constant, hot water just during hot hours. Do not expect local dance or evening entertainment after dinner.

I was amazing in every way possible Salameh's the owner was kind and very attentive The location is legendary you look out your windows and the vvewis breathtaking I went there for solo yoga and meditation this is the place to stay

Nothing it was great

Very comfortable stay, rooms are clean and spacious, access to private bathroom is great and clean. It’s a relatively small camp with 5 tents, so pretty intimate. The view is spectacular, you can see the sunset from a number of places around the camp. A jeep tour was arranged easily on the spot with lunch and a full day of sightseeing. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, they shared their way of life with us and made us more aware of what it’s like to grow up in the desert.

Inside the tent it gets very hot during the day, especially in the hot of summer (in our case August), but this is unavoidable and part of the experience ;) If you don’t have plans on doing any tours the day you leave keep in mind the check-out time is 8:30, right after breakfast.
