Uros Amaru Marka Lodge

É um local lindo, quarto bem decorado, aconchegante, com uma vista maravilhosa. A familia nos recebeu muito bem, são educados, atenciosos, preparam um delicioso café da manhã e jantar, simples e saborosos. Nos atenderam em absolutamente tudo que precisamos. Estavam sempre prontos para nos transportar para almoço, ou para a travessia para Puno.

Wir hatten einen einzigartigen Aufenthalt auf den Uros Inseln bei Juan und seiner Familie. Juan stand von Anfang in Verbindung mit uns und der Transfer zu den Uros Inseln klappte dadurch perfekt. Obwohl wir sehr spät angekommen sind (19.30 Uhr) gab es für uns noch Abendessen und heißen Tee. Am nächsten Tag konnten wir ganz entspannt ausschlafen und in den Tag starten. Trotz der kalten Nacht haben wir aufgrund der vielen Decken nicht gefroren und hatten sogar eine heiße Dusche. Juan bat uns gegen Mittag einen Ausflug innerhalb der Uros Inseln an und erklärte uns das Leben auf den Inseln, es war sehr interessant zuzuhören. Da unsere Weiterreise erst gegen 22.00 Uhr weiterging konnten wir ohne Aufpreis bis 17.30 Uhr in unserem Zimmer bleiben und die Aussicht auf der sonnigen Terrasse genießen. Es war ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt um zu relaxen und das Leben der Bewohner auf den Uros Inseln hautnah miterleben zu können.

Nicely decorated and had a private outdoor patio. Very clean room. Extremely friendly hosts. Good communication prior to arrival. They helped arrange transport to/from the lodging seamlessly and was very kind in allowing my late check out. I would definitely recommend this as an alternative to a day tour of Uros. The host took me around the Uros islands and showed me how they made the islands. They even gave me a small handicraft souvenir as a gift at check out.

Nothing. Everything exceeded what I expected, given the fact that they are on a floating reed island. I was surprised they even had hot water for showers. There is no heater and it is always cold on the lake, but they give you 3 thick blankets and a hot water bottle if you ask, which was enough for me to sleep comfortably through the night.

A big thank you to Juan and his family! We loved our stay here and would definitely recommend for others to also stay here. Juan was always going out of his way to ensure we had a good stay such as taking us for a tour around the Uros Islands and providing us with the history and information about his home. Thank you again!

The family are amazing. Juan took us on a tour around the floating islands in Uros and me and my partner learnt so much. From the food, to the accommodation, I cannot praise them enough. We had the best stay and the family were so welcoming. I’d highly recommend this lodge to anyone.
