Right in heart of Bologna old town on the edge of the maze of alleys packed w great food and drink comprising the old ghetto off Piazza Maggiore, a large and cosy one bedroom flat with superb modern shower & wc and a simple but very well equipped kitchen and large comfy double bedroom.

On Saturday nights the students hang out in Piazza Maggiore until the small hours and the apartment cannot screen out their singing and laughing. Could also have done with a couple more bigger pillows.

The room was very spacious, it contained all the necessary equipment, the bed was comfortable but it is the location that stole my heart!

The apartment is 10 seconds away from Piazza Maggiore. Walk out the door, turn right and walk 10 seconds to the Piazza. A few minutes wak away are some good eateries serving cold cuts and cheese platters and wine. Venturing a bit further away there are more obviously. If you are interested in cooking for yourself there are two shops across the Piazza (Pam Local and Coop). The apartment was clean, spacious and very adequate for a few days stay. Bed is confortable. For Celiacs: The apartment is right across the street from Ristorante Regina Sofia. They offer a vast selection of gluten free pizzas and pasts, and everything tastes great. Down the road in Via Altabella there is Ristorante Altabella who also offer a gluten free menu. La Capriata is about 10 mins (slow) walk away near the towers.

There is a steep staircase at the entrance before getting to the apartment so if you have heavy luggage you need to carry it up.

Apartment is on the first floor up a steep flight of marble steps - as soon as you enter the door. A bit scary. Lack of additional pillows, only two thin ones. Husband and I played a game of find the cutlery - he won eventually. It is in the drawer below the oven at toe level! Who puts cutlery in such an awkward place?

Beautiful modern light apartment, with air conditioning and juliette balcony. Everything you need and more for self catering. Bathroom was like stepping into a hotel bathroom with shower gel and fresh white towels. Smelt beautiful with perfume diffuser. Fabulous comfortable king size bed which may have been a memory foam mattress. Excellent location at strada maggiore and in walking distance of all attractions plus 20 min walk from the train station. Felt very safe. Exceeded our expectations in terms of facilities, cleanliness and friendliness of Alexia and Marcelo. So easy to check in with instructions for using the key safe . Definitely recommend. Hope the owner expands to other countries and becomes a worldwide holiday letting agency as everything is just perfect.

Nothing. Perhaps install a safety deposit box but we did feel safe with the strong double locked heavy doors and coded access to the building.

The apartment was well laid out. Coffee machine with pods. Great sized bathroom. Super comfy bed! Perfect central location and a public concert thrown in at the Piazza - very lucky and lots of fun!
