La Bastide Guest House

Cute, cosy cottage with a lovely view of a garden and the Magaliesberg.

The cottage is poorly maintained. The heater and fridge did not work. The door handle for the bathroom was broken. One of the bath towels had a large hole in it.

I loved everything about our stay, definitely coming back. Hospitality on point.

Understandably we weren't expecting 5 star facilities for the price we paid, however the units could at least have been cleaned prior to arrival. The fridge had crumbs/remnants of the previous guest's food inside, there were spider webs (and spiders) behind the bed, in the bathroom and in the living room - indicative that the place hadn't been (properly) cleaned for weeks. Toilet seat was broken and the one single bed was held up on bricks.

The size of the room, the carpets, but my expectations were not too high for two grand spent to book the place. The play area was not clean.

Property was clean and very comfortable , the beds were exceptionally comfortable and the linen was very clean

The main gate entrance needs to be looked at with another system for guests
