La Bastide Guest House

Loved the feeling of the countryside at La Bastide and hood value for money.

The room had a murky smell.

It wasn't worth what we paid for, the place was broken in the doors, the fire place wasn't working , outside braai area wasn't in the best condition, we travel a lot but this wasn't what we expected

I booked several weeks ago for 2 nights. On Saturday they put me in the Sky shack. there is no balcony and the tv is not working. The stairs up to the place is terrible. I complained and the Sunday they put me in a much better place next to the pool.So they gave the proper accomodation to people that only stay one night but don't care about me who booked 2 nights. That is not acceptable

Very quiet and peaceful. They are very accommodating, we had a wedding and needed to get dressed and they went out of their way to let us book in earlier, thank you for that

Some lights were not working, and the loose mats on the slippery floor were nerve recking as we slipped on it. I would suggest a rubber underlining to prevent this.

Remote given to us to use did not work. No coffee sachets in room only rooibos tea.

No breakfast included, no breakfast for us because no electricity ,so no coffee either

The big spiders , the outside sitting area was covered in cobwebs, I was scared to sit anywhere, and layed on the bed just waiting for daylight to get out of there.. .
