Krabi River View Hotel

The room was great. Location right in town and across from the river....

Alot of stairs taking luggage up.

The location is very central and a bit noisy at night but was OK.

Tv didn't work, no channels tuned in. I asked the reception twice, second time, she came up to the room, pressed a button, got channels but all thai. Pressed a button to check other channels, lost all again. No light in the bathroom, so very dark. Informed the receptionist, she said OK, but didn't change the light. Pigeons living in the aircon on the balcony, noisy The worst aspect for us, no lift, we are both retired and were put on the 4th floor. Hence, the husband needed oxygen when we got in the room

Then room while basic suited our needs as we simply used it as a base to explore Krabi

The drain in the bathroom frequently overflowed, the TV was a smart TV but we weren't able to use that part of its function and could only get local channels. The TV looked like it had seen better days and the socket in the wall was totally exposed as well, so this added to us not wanting to use TV.

We could have found a more lively place

All staff very friendly hotel and room very clean staff were very helpful close to the town and the buses travel around and a fantastic view of the river

Thr location is great. Right on the river. Room 201 has a fantastic view of sunrise in February. The night market is 3 minute walking distance and there are lots of restaurants, atms and shops around. The room was clean and having a hot water maker and fridge helped make the stay pleasant. I also liked having the balcony to relax after a long day.

The staff let this place down. They smile but they are not friendly. They aren't helpful with giving recommendations of services and are only interested in selling the tours they have affiliation with. They outright lied to me about the airport transfer taking an hour and overcharged me for the service. 400 Baht was crazy for a 25min ride. When I showed them on Google maps that the journey was only 25 mins they said traffic made it an hour which I know it was incorrect but I couldn't figure out a different way so just paid. They started speaking Thai to each other whilst writing up the recipe so I know they were talking about me and the price of the taxi.

Simple hotel with everything you need. Clean, maintained. For 23€ per night absolutely worth it.
