There was a box of teabags which was nice.

When we arrived at check-in time, there was no one there. We had to telephone and then they came. There were no teacups for the tea, so we had to drink it out of rice bowls or water glasses. There were no written instructions on how to operate the heater and we had to puzzle it out for a long time. The worst thing was that in the shared toilet (with another couple staying in the same place), the toilet paper ran out and there wasn't another roll anywhere to be found. We called the property number but there was only an answering machine and no one contacted us before we left. Definitely not good value for the money we paid, and we would not recommend it for a stay.

The location would have been fine, since it’s “only” 30 minute walk from Nara station… in august 30 minutes feels like hours though☀️🇯🇵🫠

The host was super nice. We arrived earlier prior to 3 pm and able to check in especially under the mid day heat! We got off at Nara station and took bus 14 to the house, it was about 10 minute walk from the bus station crossing the overpath. The house was nice, authentic Japanese house with Tatami floor beds and air conditioner. The kitchen and amenities were nice and useful. Nara park and Todai-ji temple were beautiful and tranquil. We used one of the hand towel as wet towel and "neck cooler" to cope with the summer heat.

There weren't so many buses to get us to Nara park, for some reasons our buses didn't come as scheduled at night. We waited at the bus stop and no bus came. It was hot to walk during the day but in the early morning 2-3 km walk to Nara park was doable. There was a firework festival when we came but we didn't know. Able to have a glimp from the market near Nara park.

This place has a washing machine We were the only guests and had the whole house for ourselves.

Communication with the host was spares. The check-in time slot is not respected by the host, we waited 1 hour in the house.

Nice quiet neighbourhood, and very nice little house. About 10 minute walk to Shin-Omiya station, just one stop from Nara Park. Full kitchen. Good shower. Clean and comfortable.

It was a bit weird. The host didn't fully explain how the house functioned (i.e. where the switch for the boiler was for hot water in the shower). We never received a key. We returned from an afternoon at Nara Park, and it was obvious someone had walked through our room (perhaps other guests? Maybe to hang up laundry?) Mattresses were very thin and not very comfortable (not our first time on tatami and futon), even when we doubled up.

She is a lovely Japanese lady. She is talkative and helpful. She guests you on a typical Japanese house. If you want to experience a Japanese house, this is perfect.

The host does not speak English, our communication was in written English and she did not assign the room before our arrival, we have any info.before we arrived...A part of this and the matter apartment was a bit far from the city center and not so well connected
