The Old Lyme Brewhouse

The cottage was excellent, a very enjoyable stay. Everything was within walking distance. Received instructions where to park and permit would be provided, along with instructions regarding the key to the property before hand. Would definitely recommend the cottage and would stay again.

Superb! We stayed for a long weekend at this beautiful homely cottage, central to everything in Lyme. Easy check in with key box. Warm & cosy when we let ourselves in. It's a really beautiful cottage, decorated to a high standard with quality fixtures & fittings. Plenty of space, spotlessly clean with very welcomed & appreciated extra little touches. It has a perfect courtyard style garden that must be amazing in the summer when everythings in bloom. It's nestled down a small alleyway just off the road, so quiet at night, heaven...oh & the beds are really comfortable. You can park in the car park just up the hill (steep hill lol), a permit is provided which again was very much appreciated. Fab little pub a stones throw away with live music on a Friday and friendly staff & locals. So much so that a local invited us to visit his vintage shop up the road the following day! Downsides, nope none that we can think of, mmm maybe one small one that didn't affect our stay at all but may some. The bath isn't a full bath, it's a half bath with a seat but honestly, it's not a deal breaker at all! Highly highly recommend staying here. Thankyou so much to the owners for allowing us to stay here and thankyou to the property looker afters hehe for keeping the whole cottage just perfect! We will definitely be back x

Wonderful location. Attention to detail throughout property and every desired catered for in kitchen. Super clean and social space for a family catch up.

The cottage is located on a quiet street and very near to all of the attractions of the town (5 min walk or less). It was charming and beautifully decorated and the host made every effort to make us feel welcome.

I loved everything but the stairs are a bit steep for families with small children or folks with limited accessibility. We had no issue and the second level bathroom meant that there were no problems at night going up and down the stairs.

The location was ideal being close to the church, town centre and sea and in a picturesque area. The house appeared newly decorated and was very clean. It was tastefully furnished and well equipped.

It was difficult to stop and unload luggage when we first arrived in the dark and rain. This is not a criticism, just a fact of being in a narrow street in the old town. In an ideal world the second bedroom would have had a loo on the same level ( as the first did) but I appreciate that this was not possible in the space available.

Our stay was perfect. Lots of little extras which made our stay even more comfortable. Especially logs for burner which was so nice in evening. Cottage was exceptionally clean. Perfect location for stroll down to The Cobb. Will definately try to stay again. Thankyou

Absolutely stunning cottage - beautifully, tastefully decorated and appointed- Very clean and comfortable. Bathrooms were great, beds very comfortable. All the decor, fixtures and fittings were a very high standard. We didn't want to leave!!

Very nice property indeed. Warm, homely and had everything we needed. Lovely courtyard garden. Good communication from host regarding directions, access, keys, where to park with the permit provided. Quiet location but convenient for beach and shops.

Only issue was neither of us could connect to the Wi-Fi. But this is not a problem for us as we do “digital detox” when on holiday.
