Bab El-Silsileh Hostel

A good part of the City. I got a free upgrade to private room because there was no one using it. I would recommend coming here. Clean. Great location.

Inexpensive, very unique setting. Particularly good for Muslim travelers who can visit the mosque.

As a non-Muslim, the location was kind of a dead end deep inside the old city. But it was a very authentic experience and I really enjoyed it.

The owners were so lovely and accommodating. I extended my stay a week. I had to make a change one evening because I ended up in another city unexpectedly one night, and the owners were so flexible and helpful. The location is perfect and so spiritually connected. I hope to return again.

There are not as many hostel options as in some other countries, but often it is just one hostel you connect with most deeply anyway, and this was “the one” for me. The family is so wonderful.
