Lovely peaceful, information and facilities great, close to everything we needed and the welcome pack was awesome.

Nothing really only we were not used to the low ceilings in the bedroom but it made the ambience of the property

Immaculate and exceptionally quiet! The only thing you will hear is the lovely wildlife. Great walks around the area.

Owners left all basic necessities and hot cross buns - very generous. Lovely little cottage, living space downstairs, bedroom/ bathroom above. Well decorated, warm as really cold outside, full kitchen equipment. Outside views of fields and villages near had traditional bakery and butcher.

WOW! We've just returned from a fantastic stay at The Old Threshing Barn over Christmas. The cottage is very clean, well-appointed and has everything you need for a peaceful stay in the countryside. We had a relaxing night’s sleep in the upstairs en-suite bedroom with a very comfortable bed. We stayed over winter and the heating setting was extremely warm and cosy. The bonus is the welcome treats on arrival; the owners cover the basics with tea, coffee, sugar, and milk but it was nice to have some extra treats on arrival with some orange juice, biscuits, and scones. We've stayed near Southwell before in other places, but this cottage offers fantastic rates compared to others in the area; it’s incredibly good value. There’s some great local pubs and cafes nearby and in Farnsfield there’s a Butchers, Bakers, and small shop for all your bits, which is perfect.

There's nothing not to like. This is our new 'number one' place and we've already booked again

Great facilities, like new, clean, comfy, no expense spared

Very minor - the bed is extremely firm and would benefit from a mattress topper to provide some give and cover the join in the beds. The towels were lovely and soft but it would have been lovely to have a full size bath towel. I'm not a big person and it barely fit around me.

The property was lovely and warm. Very clean and tidy Would reccommend to my friends and family
